This framed vintage poster was signed in pencil by American artist Katherine Porter. Her signature appears just below her own signature printed on the reproduction of the original artwork. Porter, born in 1941 in Cedar Rapids Iowa, is one of the most important contemporary artists associated with Maine. Her work is in the collections of important museums such as: The Metropolitan, The Whitney, the Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, amongst many others. This artwork seems to have been made as an homage to Sonesta Resort in Sanibel Harbor, Fort Myers.
