Antique Japanese Nippon Morimura Brothers Hand Painted Floral Basket Plate

Rare find: This item is hard to come by. Here is an absolutely stunning hand painted and hand decorated antique Japanese Nippon plate. The plate is in excellent condition for its age. Please refer to the photos for a part of the description. Lifelike large white, yellow and pink roses. The white roses have a partial glaze to sections of the petals that makes the Rose look very realistic. The moriage woven pattern that resembles wicker is raised and textured, as is the rope designed border of the plate. Just stunning painting and finishes! The backside has two plate holes and a wire hanger. Center of the back of the plate has the Nippon identification. The blue stamp word says hand painted Nippon "M" inside the leaf wreath M Stands for Morimura Brothers Importers. Mark used since 1911. The plate measures 10 inches in diameter. The plate is heavy.
