Amazing personality found on the faces of these two Bernard Ravca dolls. Bernard Ravca elevates the task of needle sculpting to an art form by using cloth and stockinette to manipulated the faces, and then paint, to create these two very detailed faces. Both dolls measure approximately 10" tall and are tagged on the back of their legs "Made In France" which would date them between 1924 and 1939.
The Gentleman has a walking stick, is dressed in a blue artist's smock, is wearing a black felt hat and has the Bernard Ravca hang tag on his right arm. His lady companion is holding a spindle of yarn/wool, preparing to knit something. She is wearing a tall white hat made of string and has beautiful nd soft white hair.
