This is the "Dr. Grip Gel" gel ink ballpoint pen, model LDG-80R-TR, released by Pilot.
The body color is transparent red.
Refills use the LG2RF-8 series.
It is still available for purchase.
The Dr. Grip gel ink version was discontinued in Japan after being listed in Pilot's 2011 catalog.
The item for sale was purchased new over 15 years ago and has been stored in a desk drawer.
Due to aging, the adhesive on the outer bag has yellowed and has some stains, and there is a tear on the lower left of the front of the bag (see image).
The silicone rubber grip also appears to have yellowed slightly.
