Dainty and delicate florals and frilled rims makes these Limoges porcelain plates unusual and special!
Made by the venerable Limoges, France atelier of Coiff et Cie between 1891 and 1914. On the back of both plates is the Coiff et Cie green star back stamp, with “Limoges” inside and the word “France” below.
The plate with the red tulips in the center has traces of gold highlighting the contours of the rim pattern; most of this gold trim has worn away over the last 100+ years of use.
The plate with the blue violets has a small chip on the rim, on the back of the plate, which is not visible from the front. (See last photo.)
Both plates measure 8.25 inches in diameter.
