Rare find!
This beautiful decorative golden teapot is a truly charming gift for vintage lovers. Still a very practical piece to use as well as lovely to display.
Made in Bavaria, Germany, in the 1950s.
It features a gold colored metal hood with a porcelain handle at the top. The inside of the removable hood is felt lined to help keep the contents of the 4C pot warm while serving.
The pot is a vintage Beehive shape with a large distinctively shaped handle.
BMF Bavaria makers mark in green in the base. It is also impressed with the number 249/1.
With the hood it measures 8.25”H X 10”L X 5.25”W.
Holds 4 cups.
The piece was difficult to photograph due to the reflective nature of the hood.
The good is in very good preowned vintage condition with lid of the gold color here and there due to age and use. See last photos.
The pot is in excellent preowned condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or staining.
